The different hair textures
Today, we will talk about the different hair textures.
Straight Hair
Straight hair is characterized by an absence of curls, or waves. Hair is straight from root to tip. The texture of straight hair can vary in terms of fineness or thickness, which depends on genetic and individual factors.
Natural Wave
The "natural wave" texture features soft, flowing waves and is considered an intermediate texture between straight and curly hair. Hair with a "natural wave" texture has more defined waves than naturally straight hair but is less pronounced than the tight curls found in curly hair.
Deep Wave
The "deep wave" texture features more defined and tighter waves compared to the "natural wave" texture. Deep waves are broad curls that add volume and texture to the hair.
Wavy Curl
The "wavy curl" texture lies between wavy and curly hair. It is characterized by soft, relaxed, and well-defined curls that appear looser than the tight curls of curly hair but tighter than the "deep wave" texture.
Curl
The "curl" texture is characterized by tight, well-defined curls.
Kinky Curls
The "kinky curl" texture features very tight and compact curls. Hair with a "kinky curl" texture naturally has a coily, textured appearance.
Kinky Straight
The "kinky straight" texture combines both straight and coily characteristics. Hair with a "kinky straight" texture appears straight overall but features individual strands with subtle waves. This texture falls between straight and kinky hair.
